Environment & Resources Manager
Nikos holds a degree in chemical engineering and since 2017 he is part of Cement Europe team, holding the position of Environment & Resources Manager. In this role, he focuses on the regulatory aspects of energy, carbon capture, storage, and utilisation, waste used as fuels, and raw materials as well as the air emissions across the European cement industry.
Prior, Nikos gained valuable experience in the Halyps cement plant in Athens, part of Heidelberg Materials group, where he worked for 14 years, across Environmental Management, Quality Assurance, and Process Control. This experience gave him a solid, hands-on understanding of how cement is produced from start to finish.
Outside of work, Nikos enjoys doing sport activities and he is passionate about fine arts.
