Sustainable Construction Manager
Vagner has worked in the cement industry for many years — part of that time at the Brazilian Cement Association, and, by now, the larger part at Cement Europe, which he joined in 2008.
A geologist by training, he holds an MSc in Petrology and a PhD in Mineralogy (applied to cement) from the Institute of Geosciences at the University of São Paulo. Vagner’s interest in foreign languages led him to learn English, French, and Italian, and to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Italian from the Faculty of Philosophy, Humanities and Letters of the same university.
The combination of these experiences has made for an enjoyable and fulfilling professional life within Brussels’ international working environment.
