She has extensive experience across corporate and association environments at European level, with a career that bridges multiple industrial sectors — from cement and transport to consumer electronics — all central to Europe’s green and digital transitions. Her cross-sectoral perspective enables her to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and align industry priorities with the EU’s climate and competitiveness agenda. Cliona’s academic background is in European Studies and Languages. Keen tennis player, runner, and mother of three sons.
