The use of secondary materials is crucial to the cement industry in Europe and plays a key role in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. According to CEMBUREAU 2050 Carbon Neutrality Roadmap, the goal of the European cement industry is to reduce process CO2 emissions by 3.5% in 2030 using decarbonated materials and by 8% in 2050. To achieve our goal, we need to further increase the share of secondary materials in clinker and cement production.
During this webinar, different stakeholders will discuss the main challenges ahead of the further use of secondary materials, recommended policy actions and showcase ongoing projects across Europe in this field.
